Project Brief

Client is a solar panel & related finance provider focusing on simplifying residential solar adoption in second-tier Indian cities. They approached us to design a user-friendly web application that allows homeowners to easily check loan eligibility, identify their rooftop area, and get accurate cost estimations. The goal was to reduce friction in the decision-making process and make solar energy more approachable for everyday users.

Key Highlights

Challenges

  • Complex Process: The traditional process of financing and installing solar panels is complex and discouraging for non-technical users.
  • Limited Awareness: Many users in second-tier cities are unaware of their eligibility or the actual feasibility of solar installations.
  • Poor Estimation Tools: Lack of intuitive tools for rooftop assessment and panel estimation results in misinformation or underutilized roof space.
  • Low Tech Exposure: The target audience requires highly simplified digital experiences to feel confident navigating financial and technical decisions.

Objective & Goal

To develop an intuitive and accessible web application that:

  • Guides users through checking solar loan eligibility.
  • Assists with the loan application process seamlessly.
  • Enables rooftop area marking through Google Maps.
  • Automatically calculates the number of panels required and provides a cost estimate.
  • Builds trust with simple, clean design and guided user flows.
